About Maria Malone

Welcome! I’m so glad you found me here!

A little bit about me, before you sign up for a class.

My passion for supporting families began with my own childbirth experiences... epidural complications,  breastfeeding challenges, postpartum struggles and finally a beautiful, unmedicated birth that set the stage for a career in birth work starting with my certification through the Cascade Christian Childbirth Association in 2008. I’ve been a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator since 2013 and a Certified Lactation Counselor with the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice since 2015.

I am 100% committed to sharing evidence-based information only. I believe that a positive birth experience is built on knowledge and preparation. Because my childbirth curriculum is rooted in the Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices, my classes are never anti-physician, anti-interventions, or anti-pain relief.  I honor every family's personal choices. My role is to provide you with the full picture so you can walk into your birth feeling informed, respected, and fully prepared.

Before moving from Brooklyn, New York to Brevard County in 2017, I spent four years teaching Lamaze classes for a busy obstetric practice in New York City. It was an incredible season that shaped how I support parents today. I learned so much.

I’ve been married for thirty years to my husband Rich who is a local pastor and hospice chaplain. We have three wonderful adult children, all of whom were born in various, wonderful ways. (I'll tell you more about those births when we meet!)

My true heart’s passion is to combine my formal training with the truths found in God’s Word concerning labor, birth, breastfeeding and the postpartum period. I love helping families lean into both evidence-based childbirth and breastfeeding education and the peace found only in Christ as they prepare to welcome their little ones. Every class will have scripture woven throughout each topic we discuss.

I can't wait to meet you!!
